On behalf of all the members of our parish, our parish staff and our entire parish family, I would like to welcome you to Catholic communities of St. Mary and Good Shepherd. St. Mary’s began serving the Catholic communities of Lampasas and Lometa in 1885.
The most important part of the Catholic Church is its parishioners. This is because it is in the parish that our people first encounter the Risen Lord in Baptism, receive His Body and Blood in the Eucharist, and receive forgiveness of our sins in the Sacrament of Reconciliation. We hear the proclamation of the Word of God, we receive the love and care of other people of faith as we interact together as the Body of Christ in the world and raise our children in the Catholic faith. All this happens in our parish.

Dress is simple and conservative.

I'm not Catholic. How do I know when to sit, stand, and kneel?

I'm not Catholic. Is it okay for me to participate in communion?
You may participate in the communion sacrament by crossing your chest with your arms and bowing your head to receive a blessing from the priest when it is your turn in line.
Am I expected to put money in the offering?
Offerings are accepted and encouraged but not obligatory.
